BREAKING ....

Matt Hancock calling "urgent review" into a staggering fiasco at Public Health England.

They are counting people who die of natural causes as coronavirus deaths if they tested positive at any time previously.

Not clear how many deaths were recorded in this way
This emerged only because, says source: "We noticed that hospital deaths were falling but community deaths were up and wondered why ...

"It turns out you could have been tested positive in February, recovered, then hit by a bus in July and you'd be recorded as a covid death".
My guess is that this will not affect the dreadful numbers of deaths seen in March/April.

But the current rate of an average 72 deaths per day over the past week may be higher than the common sense reality. Some, and we don't know how many, are from natural causes.
PHE say there is no WHO time limit to when covid should be counted as a factor.

But Scotland count things differently.

What infuriates me is that we, the public, were not given this information by PHE to make up our own minds with the facts.
