#F1 video concept, based on the bit about Super Licence points in @joshrevellyt's video about Alonso and Renault: why don't IndyCar drivers go to Formula 1?
I was intrigued by the fact that every year, the IndyCar champion is granted 40 Super Licence points, which is enough to allow them to drive in F1, but if I'm not mistaken, no driver in the modern era has taken the FIA up on that
I think it'd be interesting to look at some of the more talented IndyCar champions who might have been able to make it work in F1, and the differences between the two sports that might make it difficult for a driver to successfully make the switch
might also be worth mentioning Jacques Villeneuve and Juan Pablo Montoya in such a video, considering that it was their successes in CART that led them to F1 seats (interestingly, both with Williams, and both in the year directly after they won the Indy 500)
(I'm glad all the Americans are asleep right now because I'm sure I have inadvertently insulted IndyCar SO MUCH in this thread)
