let’s just start off with the fact that this man is criminally underrated. and you can’t prove me wrong. he can also be considered a backbone of karasuno, and it’s a fact.
first of all, we all know he’s the next captain of karasuno. he’s definitely the best choice, as nishinoya once said. why? 1) he took daichi’s place when he was injured, and if anyone were to do it, it had to be ennoshita.
2) during that wakunan game, he planned out a play with the rest of the regulars, and carried it out, as ukai had stated. ever since that moment, he gained more confidence and played like that throughout the rest of the game.
ennoshita was definitely the MVP of that game. without him, they definitely would have NOT won that match and wouldn’t even be at nationals. 3) he can handle the second years and some of the first years well. he cares for all of them, as a captain would.
4) his backstory. okay this may seem like ??? but hear me out. his backstory really made an impact on him. he realized what he had done in the past and wanted to prove he was no longer like that, even though it still haunted him every day. he showed his true colors after —
what happened in his past, and became a great player and great teammate. lastly, he is not “useless” or “a background character” because he is definitely someone who has shown confidence and pride in being on the team and he is definitely one of the most —
hardworking players on karasuno. despite his past, hes brought himself up and became one of the greatest captains karasuno has ever had.
