Never even got a good story from that so I'll tell one. This is going to be a thread.
In 2018 or so (8th grade maybe?) me and a couple of friends decided to go out after school. We didn't really have a plan or anything, we were just gonna figure it out as we go. Now listen, I was
gonna intervene and tell them that's dangerous, but I didn't want to be deemed as inferior or anything.
So, we set off, and just started walking. We were headed towards the park, but we decided to take a different direction last minute, which took some time. My legs were gonna
give in, but i withstood it. The direction we took led us to a small neighborhood, a bit creepy actually. It seemed quite vacant.
No cars parked outside the house, no kids playing outside. All the curtains closed.
I asked them if we should leave, but they told me no, and that
"you are the one who wanted to go." Which wasn't even true, btw. And so, we kept going, but we all unconsciously kind of huddled together, because we all got a creepy vibe from this place.
Eventually, though, we passed it, and the area we were in was less empty. All of us looked
up ahead of us and saw a Target. We decided we'd hang around here for a while.
At this point we were an hour away from our homes, and none of us even asked permission to leave, so there was no point in returning soon.
We took a look at all the items on display and all the cards.
Never once did any of us consider stealing, but based off that sentence you can see when this is going.
We just walked up and down the aisles and looked at shit and played the display games and Amiibos they had for a few hours.
Eventually we decided to leave. All of us were
gunna head out, but as walked pass those sensor things, the alarms went off. We stood still and a cashier came to all of us.
He ended up being the manager just filling in for his employee while he used the bathroom.
He asked all of us to empty our pockets, but no one would
let the man investigate us. He ended up being more aggressive, verbally wise, and called the police. After the call, my friend admitted to stealing it.
And then he booked it. And we followed suite.
We were so scared of being caught that we went through the neighborhood.
you would think we'd be smarter than that, but no. Eventually, we got super tired and started walking, slowly, through the still empty neighborhood.
Or so we thought.
We kept walking down the street, and noticed a girl peering out her window as us, as if she was looking
down at us.
She then formed a smile, one so haunting I'll never forget it. And then, slowly, she mouthed these words:
