So glad I came to the realization that I DO NOT have to sacrifice my own happiness & peace of mind for “friends”

I legit had a revelation that I’ve ALWAYS went above & beyond to keep friends. I always made sure I didn’t say the wrong things, say things in the wrong tone, made sure I used the right verbiage, or just straight up kept quiet to make sure I didn’t upset the next person

Finally realized I’m too damn old for that & that I shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells like that just to keep the next person happy.
