Overall, SCR 2535 is a more progressive and action oriented than 2419.

Not just the non-sense radicalization concept but also policy panic youth and internet is back into this resolution....why? 7/14
"frequent and severe weather events and natural disasters" means that climate change is real and there is really good science on this. But, Security Council is still stubborn to accept this! Science should stand in the way between the Council and weather! 8/14

Encouraging youth participatory process in implementation, monitoring, evaluation and coordination... Security Council unexpectedly uses progressive language for youth participation and important steps towards proper implementation.. 10/14

UNSCR 2535 is a very positive resolution and demonstrates the commitment of member states. However, commitment does not mean implementation.
There is now a wider gap between commitment and implementation of the YPS agenda... Time to close the gap! 14/14
