2. This intersection is in desperate need of an upgrade. It's a travesty that it's remained as-is for so long. So this is certainly positive news.

But .. is a roundabout the right choice in this case? There is a lot of truck traffic and most of it is running E-W

3. Keeping that E-W traffic flowing with a fly-over would seem to be the best option to me. Yes the one at hwys 2&3 works well but there are fewer trucks, the flow of traffic is more balanced, and traffic is more relaxed.

4. The province recently announced an interchange at St.Mary's Rd and the Perimeter Hwy. Why not here? Just $$s? I would like to see the studies that lead to the decisions of both. -30-
