i finally read it. i expected awful and got worse than that. horrifying, appalling, yet unsurprising stuff if you’ve listened to a single female working in sports https://twitter.com/washingtonpost/status/1283876236725452803
if you can read a single passage from any of these screenshots and think this isn’t an indicator of a major problem, you are hopeless and should leave. this industry is demonic towards women because it is run by weak men in positions of absolute power
it’s extremely up to men in sports to work to fix this culture. now. that includes myself. we have to speak up. we have to call each other out. we have to make this space welcome and professional, not a cesspool of harassment and toxicity. we need to be allies and advocates.
we need to advocate for more women to work in executive positions so the highest levels of sports aren’t this boys’ club of locker room talk and advances with implications regarding job security.
and if you’re at my level, here at the bottom, fucking listen, man. listen, believe, offer whatever you can do to help, go to HR, eradicate this shit from the ground up.
lastly, if THIS is your takeaway and not “this isn’t just a Washington Football Team problem, this is an industry-wide problem” go fuck yourself.

this includes you, darren.
