On the recent episode of @TheBettorLife host Tim and guest @JustWonOne were discussing how people FIND the vegas community. It's easy to expand it once you found it, but finding it can be difficult.

I thought I would do a thread and explain how I found the whole thing.
About 2 yrs ago my wife and I were taking a trip to Vegas. It was going to be our 1st trip in about 7 yrs. I am a big planner and was looking at things to do.

I googled some question. I dont remember what it was. But I Got an answer to my question on either VegasFanatics or VMB
From there I thought the trip reports were pretty cool to read. Learn what ppl like to do, and maybe find some stuff I might enjoy off the beaten path.

1 report was talking about being in town during ZorkFest. Another person told them to look out for the guys of @YouCanBetonThat
At that point I started realizing a lot of people mention this "Mark and Dr. Mike." They described them as 2 guys who have a podcast mainly about craps.

I had always wanted to learn craps, but was way to nervous. So I started looking into craps rules. I found Wizard of Odds.
After I felt like I had a decent understanding of craps I started listening to @YouCanBetonThat religiously.

I didnt even know what a podcast was. I just went to their website and downloaded every new episode straight to my phone. Once I got caught up...
I started thinking about what was next. I found a podcast app I like and started taking Mark's advice on podcasts to listen to.

That's how I found @TheBettorLife @360vegas @Vegasconfesspod and many other. But there is another side to the story.
Also through Vegas Message Board I found this youtube vlogger named @Matt_Bridger68. I have followed him closely since the trip he was on when I found him. (August '18 started at Mandaly Bay if you're wondering.)
Through Matt I've learned about other vlogger such as @hogand2cent @Pennys4Vegas and numerous others. The funniest part about all of this is I never play slots and that's the best vlogging experiences there are. Filming table games is damn near impossible.
I dont really know where I'm going with this. I feel like there is/can be a divide on youtube/podcasting for Vegas and Gambling content, but twitter seems to be the place where both these groups are.
The biggest crossover was probably when @FacesAndAcesLV had @hogand2cent on a few months (a year?) ago. I dont remember exactly when it wasn I just remember it was the first time I heard of @hogand2cent. Also check out Vegas Podtoons on YouTube.
I'm sure the main people who see this will be the ones that I tagged. Just know that I love the content all of you are putting out. I hope someday to be able to meet up with any/all of you on future trips 🤞.
Oh and one last thing. I first learned about @CoryWCrow on Vegas Fanatics early on in my search.

I joined twitter for the sole reason of being able to follow him and @YouCanBetonThat .
I know I haven't tagged even 10% of the ppl that I follow for gambling/Vegas content. I'm sorry, this already running long, and @YouCanBetonThat new episode just popped up in my podcast app.

Also, @erosenthal1029 is the best.
Just remembered something. This last Christmas @TheBettorLife did "The Bettor Santa." Among other thing I got a Zorkfest t-shirt from that year I first learned about all the wonderful podcast talent out there. It was a perfect gift, I'm sure Tim had no idea how ironic it was.
