On 7/12/20, two @PhillyPolice officers were summoned to a vehicle on Spring Garden St after if was reported that a shooting victim was allegedly inside of that car 1/

The officers went and located that vehicle and as they approached on foot, a female suddenly leapt from the car and pointed a .22 caliber handgun at them.... and it misfired 2/

THANK GOD. However, this woman had SOME experience with firearms and attempted what is referred to as “immediate action” where she attempted to render the gun functional again by ejecting the misfired bullets 3/

The officers, for some reason DID NOT open fire and eliminate the threat. Apparently, the ONLY weapon that the officers drew was a TASER. A Taser. I’m not a Monday morning quarterback, but I can say that IS NOT what they are trained to respond to a firearm being pointed at them 4

with. I will NOT critique their reaction. Thank God they’re still with us to protect the community. HOWEVER, the FEMALE was arrested and NO victim was located in that car- or anywhere else for that matter. That leads me to believe it was an assassination attempt on ANY officer 5/

who had the misfortune to arrive first. Here is where this is extremely frightening. When the officers were asked why they only drew their Taser, the replies were honest- and SHOCKING (no Taser pun there) 6/

One Officer stated a fear of being arrested by @DA_LarryKrasner for a shooting. The other stated that they had just been approved for a mortgage 3 days prior and likely felt the same. Self preservation? 7/

If anyone recalls, @DA_LarryKrasner spoke to a class of police cadets at the academy about 3 years ago and essentially threatened them with arrest if they shot a civilian. He also advised them to ‘aim for an arm or a leg’ if they did shoot. 8/

If ANYONE thinks this is acceptable- for the da to instill a paralyzing fear into the very people entrusted to keep the city safe- you’re nuts. I don’t know who is aware of this particular incident (and the details) but it must get out 9/

To add insult, the woman who pulled a trigger on two Officers? SHE HAS BEEN RELEASED ON BAIL. 10% of $50k X2.... so, a bail bondsman put up the surety and sprung her from lockup.
