1/ Thread: San Antonio Metro Health will separate confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases.

Probable cases are from antigen tests, however, San Antonio Metro Health says the cases are indeed positive cases.

This is complex. Please read the whole thread.

@TPRNews
2/The State of Texas does not take antigen tests into its reporting. And thus is removing about 3,400 cases from Bexar County’s count reported to the state.

3/ Metro Health will seperate the data visually but continue to report both the PCR (listed as confirmed) and anitigen tests (listed as probable) in its daily case reporting

Metro Health notes that antibody tests- which are not the same as antigen) are not included in any counts
4/ That does not mean that Bexar County/San Antonio/Metro Health is inaccurately inflating its numbers.

It means the state does not consider antigen tests in its numbers but Bexar County does.

This may cause a difference in state and county numbers going forward.
