So here's a #StarWars thread - ready to bring the hate?!
My kids have been watching all of the #StarWars movies and animated content, they started with the Clone Wars movie, than slogged that entire series and have today finished Rogue One and started EP4
Btw, girls, 10 & 13 and they both fucking adore Ashoka Tano - Disney, if you want a strong female role model there she is
So we're watching Rogue One and I'm keeping my mouth shut about some of the, what I think are, obvious miss steps - an example is that the rebels were worried about attacking an Impy base and were acting like they'd just formed
When ALL of their kit is knackered, bases/buildings all ancient, it's falling to bits.

Either they have the shittest quartermaster or they've been at this a while
But here's the thing, each time I wanted to go "oh come on this isn't blah blah" one of the kids piped up with same

And I've not pre-loaded or trained them, I'm just letting them enjoy the whole thing themselves
So I'm thinking that how I rationlise "problems" with the story is that it's not -wrong- what they've done, just a bit inconsistent.

Maybe just trying a bit too hard to make it all fit together, when we don't need to connections just the fun
How else are my kids picking up on the same "mis-steps" that I find with the content?
But we all agree Rogue One into EP4 is a great transition but it just seems to condense the whole tale into a few days?
And then in the Tatooine cantina when Kenobi meets with Chewie my kid goes "hang on a sec, they met in the Clone Wars, he can't have forgotten him already"

Attagirl
Now watching the (cough) despecalised editions of the OT - so far the quietest the kid have been watching any of it?

Concidence?
It's so cool to be able to enjoy content with the kids like this - even if there are a few niggles great times
Now alls I need to do is get them to watch some 80s classics ;)
