I have a lot of things to say about the Paper Mario interview that was shown today, and nothing I have to say is positive.

Before anyone throws the "complaining about games you& #39;ve never played" image at me, you& #39;re defending a game you& #39;ve never played which is just as silly, so leave it out, ty.
I& #39;m just so disappointed. That interview told me everything I needed, but didn& #39;t want, to know.

I don& #39;t understand. Why did this shift happen? I don& #39;t WANT to play just another Mario game, I want the uniqueness and quirkiness of Paper Mario back. I LIKED that it had a """complicated""" (?!?) story, and interesting designs (i& #39;m an artist for god& #39;s sake).
Those games made me who I am. I literally would not be in the positions I& #39;m in without them. I got my actual job through being a Paper Mario artist. It means so incredibly MUCH to me, and to have all of that stripped away, it breaks my heart entirely. They dont care what we want.
I& #39;ve heard every Paper Mario opinion under the sun by now and I& #39;m sick of it. I& #39;m sick of all the fighting. I don& #39;t WANT to hate the things they& #39;re making, but they literally do not care. They pick a theme (stickers, paint, origami) and mold around that instead of--
--creating a diverse world with personality and lore, and EMOTION, and then making characters that fit into them. It& #39;s all so cut and dry now.

You want me to be disappointed AGAIN? You outright told us just now that we, the people who *actually* keep Paper Mario alive, that we& #39;ll never get what we want again. I& #39;m just gonna play the games that have everything I do want, then. I& #39;ll custom mod them to hell and back!
Sorry for the ranty thread. I just feel like... I& #39;m being made fun of. I intentionally keep my mouth shut when talking about Paper Mario Opinions because I& #39;m SO tired of the debate, but people just don& #39;t understand. TTYD has so much LOVE packed into it. I don& #39;t feel that anymore.
