If you're choosing to have kids now, that's amazing and I'm sending you so much love and all my wishes for success as a parent

I just know I personally wouldn't have the heart for it at this point, and I think a lot of people feel the same way

The fact that I already *have* kids who are going to need to live in this world for potentially 60 years after I'm gone is a MILLSTONE around my neck

Not because they're anything short of amazing--I think they hung the moon in the sky

But because *I* brought them into this world, so I'm responsible for them

And things in this world are not going well

I make our corner of it as safe and magical and comfortable as I can, but I won't be standing in the breach forever
