Ok, it is time to talk the Seattle Teams project!

So the reason this project was developed in the first place was specifically because of the funding battle royale I saw between different community groups scrounging for money last fall during budgeting season.

I thought "we as a city don't have our priorities in order." In addition, in order to develop the more equitable and sustainable city we hope Seattle to be we need to create new divisions of civil workers - the Seattle Teams - to fill gaps in our services.

So the goal of this project was to create 6 teams that could round out services in the city and create new public facing roles with residents and citizens. I also created a proposed budget for each team, with each one being double what a current underfunded city org gets...

- I developed this pre-COVID
- this is not intended to influence the participatory budgeting process
- I would only expect to develop this more post-COVID budget

- I wanted to create nice pamphlets I was going to guerilla drop across the city
- I had a vision for creating uniforms for each team (think the Pokemon trainer types), and as someone without character design skills, I didn't want to sacrifice vision.
