Owen Jones vs the YouGov poll.

It's clear the UK public have a very different interpretation of 'trans' and 'trans rights' to OJ. They distinguish between post op and non op, they want to see female sport protected, female spaces to remain penis free and a stringent GRC process.
This poll also shows that whether someone has had GRS (gender reassignment surgery, also referred to as "physical transition" by the YouGov poll write up I quoted above) is relevant to their attitudes. https://twitter.com/helenstaniland/status/1055128955894808577?s=20
As does this one. https://twitter.com/gretchen_bee/status/1283749907388665856?s=20
I think we all know it would be virtually impossible, if not impossible, for policy to be created around whether someone has had surgery or not but this shows it's a massive issue for the public and data needs to be captured on this to get an accurate picture on UK attitudes.
In case you haven't seen it this is my thread with direct quotes from the YouGov analysis of their polling. I think it tells a very different picture to the one some media outlets and organisations would have you believe. https://twitter.com/GrRoary/status/1283775145891500032?s=20
