I'm starting to think we need a dashboard objectively listing what the threats to Jews are. Since this is Twitter, I'm going to throw out some unedited thoughts here. 1/

I'm thinking a list of the threats, where the threats are (US, Europe, Israel, elsewhere), magnitude, how violent, tactical and strategic countermeasures. For example: 2/

White nationalists/neo-Nazis: In the US, they seem to be a fringe group. But they are highly likely to be violent. We are already doing what we can to protect ourselves for the most part. 3/

White nationalist risk in Europe: Not sure. Seems like a small risk now but one that could turn quickly. 4/

Black followers and fans of Farrakhan: A much larger number. Very worried that violence that we are seeing in inner cities now will start being directed against Jews. 5/

Arab/Muslim terror: Major risk in the US but the FBI has done an excellent job disrupting attacks. Similar to Israel. Requires vigilance. Education an unlikely mitigation. 6/

Arab/Muslim terror risk in Europe: Very deadly, not sure whether it is getting worse or better. 7/

Left-wing, socialist anti-Zionism: Not generally violent but major threat to free speech and Jews publicly showing their support of Israel. Punches above its weight. Threat way beyond Jews. 7/

BDS: No physical threat to US Jews, threat to Israel is more the goal of turning Israel into a pariah state rather than economic damage. Legal and economic countermeasures. 8/ (actually 9...)

Iran: Threat of actual annihilation of Israel, as well as proxy wars through Hezbollah and Gaza groups. Dedicated to Israel's destruction. Israel taking all countermeasures. US Jews can help ensure economic pressure. 10/

Assimilation: Huge threat to the continued existence of American Jewry. Need more education and creative solutions. 11/

I'm sure I'm missing some, but I feel we need some objective ways to measure and prioritize our limited resources. Anyway, just thinking out loud. /end
