I’m down at PPB’s park takeover and they have already threatened me with arrest.
There’s a lot of cops. There’s a fence around the northern park but not the southern yet.
EWOKS is coordinating interim help. They need a small folding table and medical supplies if you can get down here.
Here’s a worker bagging up sleeping bags and blankets that people were using to sleep.
I talked to someone who was here when PPB and MCSO swept the park. They said that PPB pulled an LRAD up to 4th & Salmon and told everyone they had ten minutes to leave the park or they’d be arrested for trespassing. Most people were sleeping.

There’s another small group of protesters at 4th & Madison. One protester is holding up this sign for passing traffic.
A small group is marching around the park and chanting Black Lives Matter.
Shoutout to these officers chilling in the park, who are doing the absolute most to make sure people hate them.

Portland Police threatened this motorcyclist with a ticket for obstructing traffic.

A protester was arrested for meditating on federal property. I have a lot more footage of this, including a cop shoving another protester’s face, but I can’t post it all right now.
Cops on motorcycles appeared and began chasing the protester who got shoved. They got into their car and drove away, and cops chased them. Also, this cop yells at me from being in the street as they’re blocking the street.

To be clear, it was Portland Police who arrested the person meditating on federal property, not the feds.
This person showed up to be mean to protesters and also he was mean to me.

This protester told me that they don’t protest often because they’re at risk for COVID, but they came out today because they’re so mad about Riot Ribs getting destroyed. They also brought food and water for other protesters.

When I said Riot Ribs just keeps growing I meant it!
Riot Ribs is passing out toothbrushes, toothpaste, pillows, and blankets for people who need them. Also they made me an iced coffee with real ice!
I’ve heard lots of suggestions to move Riot Ribs to Laurelhurst.

-Residential (less tear gas)
-NO FEDS
-Big park, hard to kettle
-Not fenced off

I’m hearing really concerning reports that PPB cars are showing up at the houses of people involved with the Witches, OHSU Medics, Ghost Mob, and others. If this is happening to you, DM me and we can talk on Signal.
Things are calm for the moment. @riotribs are feeding people and helping them get to bathrooms, etc. The counter-protesters are gone. Both parks are fully fenced off.
There are lots of maskless cops sitting in the parks. These ones waved, laughed at me, and said, “Don’t you have enough footage already?”

A small sign-making station has sprung up at the temporary Riot Ribs, which is on the sidewalk north of the parks.
