Units and personalities a thread:

These are my opinions/observations and not always accurate!!!
OR: Can be aggressive but mostly just go with the flow. Bold personality but likable and gets along with others.
ICU: Very high standards for themselves. Biggest critics of their own work. Perfectionists.
OB: 2 types - I’m in L&D bc I hated everything else and just kind of ended up here. Personality type depends but usually lazy.

The best type: the ones who love L&D and are super passionate about women’s health. Usually very sweet and bubbly and get along well with most girls.
Peds: Idk how to even explain this bc I’m so far from it but peds nurses have a very specific personality. Everyone is called kiddo. Super nice but can be very bold. Usually Type A personalities.
NICU: Very organized and type A. The girls that always had a color coded planner in school.
Med Surg: Usually have to be laid back because their day to day is always different. Comfortable with change and adapting. Tend to be the best at bullshitting with patients.
ER: Probably the most aggressive personality type. They don’t put up with any bullshit. Usually have a good sense of humor ~ the dark sense of humor. Fun to be around at a party.
Psych: 2 types - ended up in psych bc they’re lazy and hated the floor.

Best type: Passionate about mental health. The most empathetic people. Can put themselves in anyone’s shoes. Very generous and good communicators.
Flight nurses: adrenaline junkies. Adventurous. Being a flight nurse is always a pickup line.
Cardiac/tele: Would always tell a story about someone they know having a heart issue. Usually quick thinkers and good teachers.
Nursery: The most bubbly. Cheerleaders. Always wearing some kind of pink. Obviously has a uterus/baby/pink + blue feet badge reel
Float pool: Obviously have multiple personalities😂 jk

Got through nursing school and either liked too many courses or didn’t like any. Smart and quick thinkers. The least anxious personality type.
