it started in November 15, 2019 when a series of nationwide civil protests erupted across iran caused by a sudden increase in fuel prices. the iranian security forces used excessive and lethal force to mass arrest 7,000 protesters and kill hundreds of them.
Saeed Tamjidi, Mohammad Rajabi and Amirhossein Moradi were arrested during this protest. all 3 have been reported being beaten in detention. Their execution was confirmed last july 14 and a surge of online protests happened. ppl trended # to express their strong opposition.
but because of this, iran’s gov’t implemented a near total internet shutdown across the country. limited phone services and severe internet restrictions were imposed. it's been 10 days since their internet was cut down.
THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO SPEAK FOR THEM. right now, we have to let them be heard through our voice.
they are putting themselves in danger by talking about this. the gov’t can take action against them anytime but if you’re a foreigner, it isn’t dangerous for you. THEY NEED OUR VOICE. the world needs to know about this issue in order to help them.
