if you are sick of me talking about this game turning out disappointing non-stop i get it, it just would have been nice for the second nintendo game to come out during the latest hell year to end up Like This

i would have liked to have one (1) new nintendo game to take my mind off of the six apocalypses happening at the same time, but the new nintendo game coming out is a New Paper Mario that has literally all the exact same problems as the previous two

i would like to say "it's a shame that it turned out disappointing" and move on but the game director just put out an interview where he said "we don't care if you liked ttyd we want to try something new also we literally can't put hats on the goombas anymore" and i'm like HUH?

it's not just that the game is disappointing. i'm a grown man. i don't care that much. I've only written so much about it because I'm bored, stuck in quarantine, and enjoy bouncing my thoughts off of people when i'm contemplating spending $60. it's the way they're acting about it

i feel like i shouldn't be reading interviews for sixty dollar nintendo games where the game director actually says "we have read the feedback from fans about the previous two games and have made the active decision to not care even a little bit"

especially after the Switch sold a shit-zillion units off of BOTW and Odyssey, two games where the devs said "we're gonna look to the past to see what worked and listen to fan feedback to get these series back on track with what people actually want out of these games"

the world will continue to spin after the release of one "just okay" nintendo game, it's just the circumstances surrounding this specific one are just so damn puzzling. it just doesn't make any sense no matter how you look at it.

the way the paper mario series has been mishandled and the way the devs keep saying "we know and we don't care" in interviews just makes me tilt my head to the side like a dog that just heard a weird sound

I am Puzzled and I crave Answers and Closure with regards to this mario baby spinoff game for child baby infants that doesn't matter
