The Italian media is constantly attacking Rangnick and talking shit about him. Unfortunately, I see some Milanisti join them and hate on Rangnick without even doing any research on him
The average fan is fickle, a few months ago it was PioliOut and now after a few games Pioli is the greatest manager we've had since Allegri, and next season after a few losses its PioliOut again...
Thankfully the management has already taken a decision last year already and is sticking to it. The management doesn't give a fuck about what the average fan may think in their ignorance. Stop complaining and support the club instead of your agenda
Pioli did well fixing the mess Giampaolo had created, but he was always a care-taker and as soon as he signed the contract, he knew he was not gonna stay beyond this season. Pioli was never a long-term option
And I feel like people fail to understand what Rangnick will bring to the club. He's not just a different coach who replaces a few players. Rangnick is a so-called club architect and will modernize the entire club from A to Z
Sure, with some nice signings we could compete for the CL again. But we'll never go beyond that, we'll always finish behind teams like Juve and Inter, and will never defeat clubs like Liverpool and Real Madrid. We need to think differently and innovate
Being a top club is so much more than having a good coach and good players. It has to be top from A to Z. Our youth academy is one of the worst in Italy for example. Whilst clubs like Inter and Atalanta have the best ones
Football has changed a lot in the past years, unfortunately, Italian clubs have been standing still for 20 years and haven't bothered to adapt much. Juve and Inter are trying but they still think in the old way, they will never seriously compete in the CL like that
One club that's seriously adapting to modern football, however, is Atalanta. Atalanta is achieving amazing results trough amazing scouting, innovative training methods, and a great youth academy. But unlike Atalanta, we are still Milan and can do much greater things
The time of spending huge fees for a star player is gone. Football has changed and has become more focused on scouting, functionality, and data analysis
Atalanta with their progressive vision is reaching the CL every year and is actually doing great in the CL as well, and they even humiliated us with 5-0 last winter. A true humiliation as Atalanta didn't even spend 10% of what we've spent in the last years
I'd rather follow Atalanta's example than Inter or Juve. Inter is growing thanks to fake sponsorships and inflated capital gains of their youngsters, and yet they still play like shit whilst having a 12M a year coach and spending 75M for a single player
