Hey #Indiana, do you want to know more about @GovHolcomb's campaign finances but just don't have the time to sift through data and google mostly boring things like a loser? You're in luck, I am a loser!

A thread:
First off, a note: this will be only looking into his Q2 contributions and contributors. I will do another thread on his expenditures and link to it at the bottom of the thread. Let's get into it!
Some of the biggest contributions are familiar faces:

-Suzanne Crouch's campaign ($250,000)
-Team Holcomb PAC (~$200,000)
-Team Holcomb Joint Fundraising Committee (~$244,000)

This makes up 47% of the total raised in Q2. Will look into those more later & do another thread.
Two more large donations from non-individuals:

-Indiana Republican State Committee, Inc., which is just the Indiana GOP ($200,000)
-Republican Governor's Association Right Direction PAC ($100,000)

Add these to those from above and that makes up 67% of the total raised in Q2.
Let's take a look at some of the companies that contributed - the largest contribution came from Beam, Longest, and Neff LLC, an Indianapolis based engineering firm with this incredibly diverse executive team at the helm. ($35,000)
MO Strategies contributed $4,500. MO Strategies was founded by Marty Obst and Craig Kunkle, familiar names in the Indiana Republican sphere. Obst is currently a senior advisor to Mike Pence. Holcomb's campaign has spent $184,000 on Kunkle's other company, MHRK, since 2017.
A surprising amount of dairy farms contributed, totaling $30,000.
A few major corporations/PACs:

-American Electric Power Committee for Responsible Government ($10,000)
-Enterprise Holdings PAC ($5,000)
-AT&T ($5,000)
-Fresenius Medical Care Corporate ($1,000)
Let's take a look at large individual contributions.

First off, Jessica Tocco - $40,000.

Tocco founded lobbying firm A10 Associates. She has donated the max to Trump in 2020 & served on his transition team in 2016. More about her in this report:
https://www.citizen.org/wp-content/uploads/Covid-Lobbying-Palooza.pdf
A new one: Richard (Dick) Workman - $25,000

Dick is the founder & head of Heartland Dental, which sold a majority stake to private equity firm KKR in 2018.

In 2008, Heartland paid $3mil to settle allegations of improper billing & dentist registration.

Doug Rose - $12,500

Doug is president of Irwin R. Rose & Co. a real estate firm with two google reviews and was appointed to the Indiana Real Estate Commission by Holcomb this year. He also donated the max to MI candidate for US Senate, John James...
...John James is, controversial... He ran a TV ad which featured a swastika and has also taken money from the U.S. Immigration Reform PAC, whose founder is married to the founder of Federation for American Immigration Reform, which pretty openly calls for white-only immigration.
E. Mitchell Roob - $10,000

Similar to Smith, Roob was also IN Secretary of Commerce (under Daniels) and now works for Bose. He was also head of the IEDC during the forgotten, but still not really explained Monica Liang incident. He was the one who hired her as special assistant.
Philip Sicuso - $10,000

Another lawyer at Bose. Served as general counsel for the Indiana Gaming Commission under Daniels and is a registered lobbyist in the Indiana General Assembly.
A few more:

Amy Schumacher - $10,000

Another IEDC board member and president of The Heritage Group, a company that owns and operates a number of transportation infrastructure and chemical companies, one of which is Walsh & Kelly, whose president, Kevin Kelly, also gave $10,000.
Brantley Wright ($10,000), another Bose lawyer & chairperson for John Westercamp's campaign.

Jeff Laborsky ($10,000), head of Heritage Environmental Services.

Robert Trone ($10,000), co-owner of Total Wine & More, the "walmart of liquor" and brother of U.S. Rep David Trone.
Last one:

Roger Reeves - $25,875

Reeves is a senior account exec at Genesys, a telecom company. He also thinks Eric Holcomb's bachelor party was dog shit.
My takeaway from this?

1. We need publicly funded elections. IMO, it is the only thing that will enable real change to take hold.

2. Holcomb takes a lot of money from people and corporations who are objectively bad, which says a lot about where his allegiances lie.

End.
