Fresh NYSC graduands,

You might be scared or uncertain about what next to do.

You might get triggered every time someone asks you "What next?"

But don't fret. Now that you're done with service, here are a few tips that would help you navigate the coming weeks and months

RT.
1. Calm down. Things usually make sense after a while.

You will have some bumps here and there so when you do come across them, do not let them get to you.

Some of your mates may get jobs before you. There might be bleak days. Just calm down and keep your head clear.
2. It is time to dust your CV and start applying for the jobs that are for your hard and soft skills.

If you do not know how to write your CV and cover letter, make sure to give a professional who will help you.

This will put you in a good light as you apply for opportunities
3. Decide the kind of jobs/opportunities that you want.

If your answer to what kind of job you want is "any job", you will find it hard getting jobs.

You must be able to analyse your skills, strengths and experiences to optimize your job search experience.
4. What will you do in the period before you find a job?

This is the time to aggressively develop yourself. Take relevant courses, read, join important communities, volunteer where necessary, intern where needed.

The time before you land your first job is crucial.
5. Be visible online

Let people know what you can do and let people know you're seeking opportunities. Don't be afraid to shoot shots even if you think they might not respond.

This is not the time for you to be shy.

Remember that you lose all the shots you do not take.
6. Again, just ensure to stay calm while still being relevant to yourself, your career and your community.

Don't stop pushing and pressing, seeking and growing.
