You seem to be under the impression that societal costs of addiction like crime and medical costs are an argument against safe supply. You are incorrect.

Safe supply removes the need to commit crime to pay for street drugs. Safe supply reduces the market street drug dealers are selling to, de-incentivizing organized crime.

Safe supply reduces the risk of both death and hypoxic brain injury from overdose. Safe supply keeps people alive long enough to get into treatment, it isn't proposed as an alternative to treatment. The points you are making are the argument FOR safe supply, not against.
