I believe individuals should definitely be held responsible for being irresponsible during a pandemic, but I also think individuals should have never been given the choice to begin with
Obviously there are covid cases from people being reckless, but for every case like that there are cases from people getting sick because they were forced back to work or they were essential. We needed to pay everyone to stay home months ago, and we still need it now
I just see a lot of posts with energy like "Because of people not wearing masks we're NOT GONNA HAVE HALLOWEEN THIS YEAR" and I get the sentiment but i would agrue it's the government's fault for choosing to bail out wall st and let states and individuals decide what to do
I'm not saying not to get mad at anti-maskers because they definitely deserve it, but how do you get the public to take a pandemic seriously when the government won't give us the means to? Continuing to quarantine only works if you can afford to
It all just sucks so much because the right solution is front of us but the government won't do it!! It's basically every man for themselves, so we're forced to find plan B solutions while fighting against everyone
This is the sentiment I mentioned earlier in this thread.... anti-mask people are asshats and we should be mad but like... why aren't you even angrier at the government who failed us?
