i feel like nico nico nii was known because of its humor and not for nico herself. it started as a catchphrase for nico and then as a meme, then it became globalized and used everywhere as a joke.

look here. our no. one idol suffered so much as a child. her father ++

++ died and she had to be a role model to her siblings, as well as living with her mother.

nico also dreamed of being an idol and uses that as a reason to smile from her father's death and to move on from it.

her former idol members quit because nico's standards were too ++

++ high for anyone to cope with and they quit one by one. but with muse, she had character development and such.

people on anitiktok or a little portion of anitwt don't appreciate the beauty of her character because they haven't seen the anime itself and they only see nico ++

++ and the catchphrase "nico nico nii!" as a joke.
