Follow and talk to reporters coz, I don’t know, if you ever want to be featured in their writing you should know what they write on, their style, what their audience looks for, and generally be educated. 2/

Bonus STOP THE BULLSHIT TIP: Be transparent that you, one day, would love for them to write about you. Value what they do and tell them how it could be valuable to you. Stop using people. #Stopthespin #PR

And then you should tailor your Brand story to fit right? WRONG. STOP THE BULLSHIT tip 2: tell your damn story authentically. You’ve been reading their stuff. Tell them why your story as-is is a welcome addition to, or departure from, their body of work. 3/

In short, #entrepreneurs benefit from media features, aka #earnedmedia. #PR pros know this. Entrepreneurs know this. #Reporters know this. The thing the makes PR a dirty four-letter word is the bullshit around pitching. 4/
