Assam floods claim two more lives, death toll climbs to 68; over 48 lakh people affected across 30 districts
The district administrations have set up 487 relief camps and distribution centres in 30 districts, where over 1.25 lakh men, women and children have taken shelter.

Among the districts that have been mostly affected include Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Biswanath, Sonitpur, Chirang, Udalguri, Golaghat, Jorhat, Majuli, Sivsagar, Dibrugarh, Tinisukia, among others. As many as 66 animals have died as the floodwaters submerged in Kaziranga National park.
