What does the Army give you? 19 years ago, as a boy from a broken home, living on the breadline with a mom who worked night a d day to put food on the table left school with a few GCSEs and a teacher telling him his wish to go to Uni and travel the world were pipedreams.
A short time later I walked into the careers office to be a Stafford or a Chef (the only jobs I knew the army did) and ended up joining the @R_Signals. With great leaders and mentors my life path turned around and I got to experience all the travel, sport and opportunities.
There have been some dark times, but the camaraderie and family made are second to none. Today, woth the hp of the Army, the pipedream is lived as I "virtually" graduate with an MSc from @CranfieldUni
So What? No matter how many people tell you you can't achieve your goal, remember you are the other one who has real control of that. I made it, and now have new ones. People sometimes perceive a soldier as of poor schooling, this couldnt be further from the truth.
