Was going to ignore the 'fourth since Mourinho took over' stat but seeing as he couldn't resist mentioning it post-match, I think it needs a little context:

We've taken 41 points from 24 games since Mourinho joined. Extrapolate that over a full season and we're on 65 points...
65 points has not been enough for a top four finish in any PL season since 04/05. It might have just about scraped in this season but that's TBD

Then you factor that Spurs had already played away at Liverpool, Man City, Leicester and Arsenal before Mourinho took over.
Then you look beyond the league campaign and remember that he got us knocked out of two cup competitions, one to a team playing their first ever CL knockout tie and the other to a team currently nine points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table.
And then you see why he couldn't help but kick the PR machine into gear at the first decent run of results since he first arrived.
