People are taking one person’s outlandish views and using it to discredit the entire divest movement. I am here to say this: a lot of us have separated ourselves from this individual and do not share the same views as her. (1)

However some of you have taken her views as a way of finally having your aha moment so you can mock divested black women. I see right through people who are doing this and I am just as disgusted with you all as I am with this person. (2)

You all know that with everything in life there are going to be good and bad people no matter what. However, what sets this movement apart from other black movements is that it centralises black women and girls and places emphasis on our image, level up and peace. (3)

How dare some of you claim to be pro black women and girls but trash a movement for black women and girls because of one person who divested black women don’t even F with anyway lol. (4)

I’ve stayed neutral in the BS that took place yesterday because it’s petty and I wanted no parts of it. With that said, I’d be remiss not to speak out. I see ppl saying divestors are mentally ill because of that individual yday. (5)

If you can draw to that conclusion based on one to a few people’s opinions over hair style choices, unfollow me lol. If you’re going to be disingenuous and pretend that person speaks for all of us then you’re just as bad as the hoteps you claim to hate. Bye. (6)
