Chief inspector Ted Baker told NHS England the CQC had no confidence in the trust to improve adding: "As the independent regulator, our only remaining option is to consider recommending trust special administration." This has not happened yet but implication clear.
Reading that letter its clear the @CareQualityComm feels the road is running out on options for @sathNHS - after years of patient safety concerns.

Just like with Mid Staffs - a cultural and institutional failure. Not easy to solve but patients harmed in the meantime.
