related meta about khun & fish:

SIU has said he likes the theme of khun w/ fish before. 'shinheuh' are the 'fish' that swim in the 'shinsu' of the tower - essentially the tower's animals. jahad created position ranks in order to subjugate the shinheuh and anima 'control' them.

however, fish keep recurring in khun's life. hidden floor, he is shown to be always fishing as a kid in his flashback. dallar show, the sweetfish literally saves him and dies for his sake. we also have the yeon firefish, which is most likely a shinheuh...

i'm debating whether khun is an anima - i don't think he is 'controlling' the fish but SIU has made a joke before that the firefish must 'protect its master.'

but basically: me theory is that the tower itself is cognizant of khun's destiny by bam's side, and so -

- the tower PROTECTS khun from people out to kill him, because it isn't his fate to die this early when he has so much to do. bam is probably going to save the tower in some way, and khun is the catalyst for that because of how arlene's prophecy is written by the outside god.

khun is literally destined to take bam up the tower just as he promised in s1, with rak as his "defender."

tl;dr jahad is antagonistic towards the tower & shinheuh, he controlled everything after finishing his climb, and so the tower supports khun knowing he will be anti-jahad
