Diagnostic tests in the NHS dropped 60% in April from the previous month - 1.3 million fewer than in April 2019

1.3 million, in a month.

From the NHS:

And those waiting 13 or more weeks to get a diagnosis has gone through the roof.

Does anyone have any idea what happened back in 2006/07?

A few more to add to the list. This time, data on Referral To Treatment.

That's 1.25 million fewer referrals per month or 40,000 fewer per day.

Yet the median waiting time for treatment has doubled, and was still increased further in May to over 15 weeks.

The percentage of those receiving treatment within 18 weeks has also fallen from 83% to 62%.

Not good, not good at all.

The most depressing part of all this - it doesn't look like it's going to get better for at least the rest of the year.

Even if only a fraction of the millions of missed treatments sadly result in death, that will dwarf those affected by Covid. https://twitter.com/Brixton_Ben26/status/1287409950654976000?s=20
