if you're wondering why armys are so protective over bts its because they've gone through a lot of hardships since their debut.

november 13, 2013 - a rapper disrespected bts for calling them girls for wearing make up amd aren't considered real rap/hip-hop artists.
- bts were being cut from broadcasts.
- performance were shortened and some weren't uploaded on youtube.

- they were told that they wouldn't make it because they came from a small company.
february 2014 - they were accused of copying the school boy concept for 'boy with luv'.
november 2014 - antis trended #/kickoutjhopeBTS on twitter calling jhope ugly and untalented.

may 2015 - after 2 years, bts won their first music show, antis accused them of 'sajaegi'.( sajaegi=is when a company buys album in large quantities to inflate the official numbers).

- Bighit Entertainment countered these statements, arguing "Bighit Entertainment doesn't have the resources to do such a thing".
- Bighit and BTS struggled financially.
- all 7 boys shared 1 room.

- they couldn't afford certain sets and props or hire actors.
- they had the managers act and used their cars for props.
- taehyung was criticized for alleged rudeness towards another group.

july 2015 - bts abruptly stopped their concert, "the red bullet" in new york due to death threats towards namjoon. all activities were cancelled.
- namjoon also received another death threat for their show in mexico on july 29.

2016 - antis started accusing bts for misogyny because of their song lyrics. (misogyny=dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women).
- this brought them anxiety and caused namjoon to be depressed.

- antis accused them of plag*arism and slandered bts.
- they claimed they copied another groups concept for 'young forever'.
- accusations of plag*arism continued from copying hair colors and clothing to poses in pictures and concepts.

- then copying another groups concept for photocards being done for SK Telecom.
- during the epilogue concert, they began a project using the hashtag (it's in korean, it means plag*arism boys).
- antis teamed up to trend this hashtag and it trended #1 in korea.

- everyone and the media saw this including bts themselves.
- antis next project was called "break wings project", their goal was to sabotage bts comeback by trending a new hashtag #/breakwings.
- they claimed that bts was going to affect their groups positions on the charts.

november 2016 - taehyung made a heartbreaking confession, his grandma passed away on september 3.
- antis began to accuse him using his grandmothers passing for attention, they started jokes and sending death threats to taehyung.

- bts won their first daesang for album of the year, fans from other group became very upset.

- they claimed that it was done out charity and that it was a miscalculation, they contacted MELON customer care and the employee explained that the companys internal data says bts scored higher.

- people claim they didn't deserve artist of the year, creating posts showing 'proof' which sparked many arguments between fandoms and controversy from the other groups speech added on.

- bighit shared updates on legal actions : mentioning that over the past two months they've been carefully categorizing the 240,000 pieces of evidence and materials.

march 2017 - during the wings tour, death threats were made against bts and their target was jimin.
december 2017 - fans from another group were outraged with the results during 2017 MAMA.

- they filled a petition under the blue house (blue house=is the executive office and official residence of the south korean head of state - president). they request to 'Abolish mnet's MAMA for unfairness when it comes to votes and jugding).

- oversea fans caused issues as the petition gateway was meant for korean citizens, this caused the petition server to crash.

see all of these? antis and toxic fans from other fandoms did this to bts, that's why armys are very protective over them.

all of those are just some of their hardships, there's still a lot.

even though they're now the most successful group, the most popular group, they still receiving a lot of hates. ppl using them for clout, pretending they appreciated the music and the boys. taking all the credits even your contribution is very f small.
