#Thread on damru and trishul of shiva

Damaru- following picture is taken by @NASAHubble , on April 24, 1990 and I’m not the only one to see a damaru in it. Thanks to @LevinaNeythiri for bringing this pic up.

So, is damru responsible for the creation of the universe? How?
What is damaru?

Shiva is often described as cosmic dancer and a great musician. Shiva's Tandavam is the cosmic dance and his Damaru is a small hourglass shape drum which represent the cosmic sound.

It is said in Shiva Mahapurana that
the sounds from the damaru beats
the the rhythm of the cosmic vibrations and the energy is activated by the divine Mother or Shakti.

Lets look on the work of rishi panini. He created a book named ashtadhyayi, which give us a detailed account on Sanskrit vyakaran.
In ashtadhyayi, there is a chapter named shiva shutra. In shiva shutra panini mentioned that from the damru of shiva, all the 14 vowels came out. Check my thread on this- https://twitter.com/hathyogi31/status/1228260459075104769
In my following thread, I have mentioned about the rasmi theory, where I’ve mentioned that rasmi is a vibrating entity, responsible of activating all the inactive energies of the universe. Thanks to acharya agnivrat ji for bringing this theory up- https://twitter.com/hathyogi31/status/1231178847938174977
It is also mentioned in bramha puran that shiva is responsible for any kind of vibrations across the universe.

And now this picture says a lot about our beliefs.

You can also know the initial state of the universe according to shiva, by reading this thread- https://twitter.com/limitlessarya/status/1267334087959855107
The damru is tied on the trishul (trident) of shiva. People believe that the TRISHUL is the weapon of shiva, but thats not true. It. Is far more than that.

Trishul represents the three aspects of consciousness – waking, dreaming and sleeping, and it represents
the three gunas – satva, rajas and tamas. Holding a trishul (Trident) signifies that Shiva (the divinity) is above all the 3 states – waking, dreaming and sleeping, yet is the upholder of these 3 states. The divinity is beyond the 3 gunas, but it holds the three gunas together.
Shul means problems or suffering. Trishul means that which destroys all kind of sufferings.

Three types of pain that arise in life:
1. Aadibhautik (physical)
2. Aadhyaatmik (spiritual) and
3. Aadidaivik (ethereal)
What relieves you from all the problems and suffering is the trishul. And it is in the hand of Shiva.

Some believe that it also represents the trinity –

brahma , Vishnu , Mahesh ; sarasvati , lakshami and kaali, 3 modes of nature --creation, maintenance and destruction,
the three kaala- past, present and future, 3 lokas—dev , bhu and patal ; 3 powers-will , action and wisdom ; 3 types of miseries –physical, menatal and spiritual.

Lord Shiva’s Trishul is supposed to destroy the physical world—
attachment to gross the illusionary world which seems so real ; the world of the mind- the ahamkaar or ego which is a barrier between Me and HIM.

Thus transforms to be in the third world that is the world of spirituality –thus leads to oneness Shiva into a
single non-dual plane of existence, that is bliss alone.
the trishula in human body represents 3 energy channels - ida, pingala and shushmana meet at the brow.

Shushmana, the central one, continues upward to the 7th chakra, or energy center, while the other two end at the
Brow, there the 6th chakra is located. The trisula's central point represents Shushmana, and that is why it is longer than the other two, representing ida and pingala.

Hence, we can say that damru is for the creation and trishul is for the destruction of the universe.
