The WH's new press secretary is so pretty and damn shes good at answering questions and sticking to the message. She has a newborn baby. She also chooses not to wear a mask. "I get tested regularly." SO?! You may be negative under the PCR or RAPID tests but actually positive.
People can be positive yet asymptomatic. People can be positive and have symptoms yet mild. I fell into the second category. We all thought it was just the change of the weather and our family's allergic rhinitis kicking in.
See on June 23, I got a headache and colds. I brushed it off as allergies because the room was cold. The next day June 24, my body started hurting and I felt warm. Kinda weird but believe it or not I blamed it on the Emi Wong workout I did the day before.
On that same day (June 24) I got tested. (-). A relief. But not really because my colds were bad, back nasal drip was intense, headache and body pain. We all thought it was the weather change and the next few days I'd end up with asthma. It's usually what happens to me.
True enough the next day I got asthma or I thought it was. Huot na i-ginhawa. I had cough and the colds, headache and body pain were still. At this point, laban sa crimpro kay hapit na. Took it all in stride and just drank decolgen, zykast and nasonex for my allergies.
The next day, I decided to start nebulizing because huot na gyud. Nebulized every 8 hours, used my asthma sprays as well. All that with the colds medicines and rhinitis meds. At this point, I realized I no longer had any sense of taste. But its colds so you know its normal.
Everyone in the family thought weather change ra gyud. I irresponsibly continued to talk to my brother. 3 days after I got sick, he got fever. Aguy. But again we ALL thought flu ra ni nga ga tuyok sa balay or the weather because (-) gud ko.
My mom took care of my brother. Mary took care of me. So for the next few days it was just that fever, headaches, body pains, colds, cough napud diay nga gahi kaayo pero morag naay na stuck up sa imong throat.
Exactly a week after my first test, we all decided to get tested again. There you go class, (+) na. BUT IGG which they say means you are better already and actually cannot spread the virus anymore. The rest of the family was IGM. Active infection.
PCR was taken by virtue of protocol and three days later the results all came out positive. The IGG must have been conclusive that I was okay na. Strong immune system. But I still had cough, colds and no sense of taste so I don't know. This was already 10 days after I got sick.
My brother was okay na except for his sense of taste. Mary had no symptoms at all btw. She's strong af. My mom had it bad like I did. We got worried because older people are more vulnerable. However, like the strong woman she is, she fought with colds medicine and rest.
July 8 we all got tested again and the results were good as we were IGG (antibodies present). Some had IGm still. We continued to isolate. Just yesterday (July 15), exactly 21 days after I got sick, my fam got tested and they were all negative already. All clear. All good. 😊
I didn't get tested na with them because I had a 4 hour test later that day too. This thread is long. But what I'm trying to get at with our experience from all of this is, if you start feeling sick. Treat it as what you dont want it to be and isolate yourself.
But in fairness, the first ever test was negative. So kinsa may mag dahom na mao na to kung negative man. But you never now. Tests can show negative or positive despite the opposite. PCR is the gold standard but it will only show that you got infected at least three days before.
I was negative sa PCR. But given the circumstances, with everyone else getting positive in the PCR and I getting sick first before everyone else and acheiving IGg then its safe to say. So again, treat it as if its what you dont want it to be.
So in conclusion. Just because your regularly tested, it doesn't mean you can't spread it. Second, if you feel sick just treat it as covid and isolate. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. Third, stay strong.
We were lucky, by God's grace, that we probably got a not so strong strain or i don't know I'm not a doctor but suffice it to say that the symptoms were mild. Uncomfortable but mild. Not everyone is as lucky. So WEAR A MASK! ISOLATE! Take care and stay safe! 😊
