Look at how the jumping process is slowed down. I think this is the first time we are introduced to the idea of thinking about HOW to jump
And look at how beautiful the panelling is ?! We are thinking about the jump , the letters JUMP on our mind . We're also thinking about a higher jump, a stronger upward motion. Now look at the T in between the two panels at the bottom.
Notice how it gives a whole feeling of upward momentum like we are moving upwards following that T.
The front of Hinata's feet turned inward and the shading around the feet showing the explosive motion of the jump. Amazing.
Side note: This was such an important thing for Hinata to learn. Using forefoot striking to jump is key to jumping better . It boosts your Achilles tendon and activates your calf muscles better allowing you to , as Kageyama said, take all of your momentum UP
Thank god Kageyama saw Hoshiumi and noticed. I also wondered why Hoshiumi jumping looked better and after seeing this panel it hit me. Hinata's really fast and when he makes his approach , some of the forward momentum STAYS as forward momentum decreasing his height
I love that just doing your best isn't enough is highlighted. This is an example of technique and working smart. Don't waste momentum .It's Said in such a factual and kind way, Kageyama cares so much . I'm crying.
Forward momentum would also cause a more unstable form in the air. His form improved soo much after changing his jump. I'm so happy because when Kageyama said you can fly even higher he meant it 😭. I knew it but now I have the science behind it and I'm just very happy
The training aspect is Hella underrated. Everyone who plays sports can read hq and tangibly benefit that's amazing.
