THREAD: I just find it funny how, in the wake of this whole  @nickcannon thing, some dusty folk are rising up from the sands of Hotepery like they was Mum-fucking-Ra, and I need yall to stop being the raisins in the potato salad of Black solidarity. So lets talk about that.

"Blk ppl are the true/original Hebrews". What do you mean by "black"? Bc I can find Indians, Australian aborigines, native tribes, and Af-Ams that are the exact same shade as each other.

But if you mean "Blk" as in African, then no, most of those aren't. Neither were the ancient Hebrews. Were they ppl of color? Yes. If you saw them today would you probably be like "Thats a Black guy"? Yes.

But EVERYONE hanging out in the Levant back in the day was around that shade. Hebrews might've phenotypically hit that "black" marker, but they were still not African. It's *literally* right there in the name.

The word "Hebrew" is the Hellenicization of the Hebrew word "Ivri". Which means "from the other side". Bc Abraham, born in Ur in Mesopotamia, was from the OTHER SIDE of the Euphrates River in relation to where he and his descendants ended up settling, ie Israel/Canaan/Palestine.

The "original" Hebrews came from Iraq, y'all. It's *literally* right there in the text. African ethnicity didn't end up being part of the Hebrews until Joseph marries his Egyptian wife Asenath, making his sons Ephraim & Mannaseh mixed ethnicity Hebrew/Africans.

Also saying "original" Hebrews is inherently saying that the present day situation is no longer the same but still retains aspects of the original. Like how apple juice was "originally" an apple.

Saying "true" Hebrews is like saying the "true" descendants of Thomas Jefferson are white & the "true" descendants of Solomon Northup are black.

Both have black AND white EQUALLY AUTHENTIC descendants. Does it change the "original" origins? No. But that has no bearing of what the reality of Northups and Jeffersons are *today*.

ALSO if you're gonna say that blk ppl are the "true" Hebrews/Jews, well, then, ACTUALLY DO THE SHIT, not just throw around some butchered "Hebrew" jargon or slap on some fancy fringes like they're spinning rims on your car.

Because otherwise that's like a homeless person saying "my parents used to be rich" and not even doing so much as buying a lottery ticket themselves.

Also: that whole "fake Jew/Khazar" deal? Stop it. Ashkenazi Jews have existed in Europe since the 8th century. Khazars didn't convert until the middle/end of the 9th. And even then only the NOBILITY converted. And even THAT'S moot because the Khazars ceased to exist by 1226.

I get that the NOI have served historically underserved black communities in ways that the govt STILL doesn't, and, because of that, how white ppl calls to cancel Farrakhan is like ppl with an organic store in their neighborhood telling you to shut down the only bodega in yours

I get that. But STOP BUYING THE QUARTER WATERS AND TROPICAL FANTASY AT THE BODEGA. Sure, it's cheap and hits the spot when you need your thirst quenched, but that shit is *poisonous*.

And the bodega owner *knows* you don't have anywhere else to shop, so he's gonna just keep pushing it.

But if you're gonna ingest something terrible, then at least OWN what you're ingesting. Go to the counter, buy that little packet of red flavor Kool-Aid and the 20lb bag of sugar, and mix it together yourself. At least MAKE the kool-aid that youre drinking.
