Every yr the mass destruction of #AssamFloods is followed by major outbreaks of typhoid fever, Encephalitis, cholera, leptospirosis and hepatitis A, malaria, dengue haemorrhagic fever, yellow fever etc. Needless to say this year it's gonna be way more diff amidst covid 19 crisis.
Body's fight against SARS Cov-2 mostly depends on the immune system, presence or absence of other comorbidities. Maintaining strict social distancing, hygiene in refugee camps are next to impossible. Occurrence of even one post flood epidemic amidst this pandemic will be disaster
Generally a significant no. of doctors, nurses & othr health care workers are deployed to tackle these post flood epidemics. This yr, the entire health care system is on its knees. Assam has nearly 4000 functioning doctors against req 7132. It's a crisis on its own. #AssamFloods
Now why are we talking about this?
Well, most of the crisis could be

There's urgent need to start proper discussions on this issue in all platforms possible. Through this thread, I appeal to all the electronic media of the sate to start conducting talk shows, panel discussions and other campaigns to get ideas at large to counter the coming crisis.
Social media has always been a strong platform to form public opinions.
