The homosexual history of the men of Hitchcock cinema.

A thread.
Starting with my favourite. Farley Granger. Famous for ‘Strangers on a Train’, Farley was a known Mo and openly expressed his bisexuality. He eventually married his partner, Robert Calhoun. He was a snack with a cracking head of hair.
Next, Cary Grant. Most famous for his performance in the astounding ‘North by Northwest’. A suspected Mo, we have no admission although the man lived with Randolph Scott for 12 years and even did a couples photo shoot. I mean, going by my insta this is extreme fågula behaviour.
Next, Montgomery Clift in ‘I Confess’. A straight up friend of Dorothy MO. This guy was prime beef and it’s a shot to the heart that modern gay ville were unable to provide him a chance to flourish. He was best friends with Elizabeth Taylor - The Ultimate Hag
Next, Anthony Perkins - ‘Psycho’. A closeted man, he eventually came out later and sadly died from complications from AIDS. He left behind two children one of which is, Oz Perkins who would go on to star opposite GAY ICON Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde.

Making Dad proud.
Next, John Dall. Confirmed Mo. Hedda Hopper tried linking him to woman, however at the time of his death the Oscar nominee left behind his partner, actor Clement Brace. Here he is with before mentioned Mo, Farley Granger playing murderous lovers(YES) in ‘Rope’.
Okay, gonna try sleeping. Will pick this back up.
Alec Mcowen CBE, ‘Frenzy’. Confirmed MO. Alec had a wide ranging career on stage, television and film. His partner Geoffrey Burridge passed from AIDS-related illness & Alec refused to appear on This Is Your Life (British TV series) unless the relationship was acknowledged.
John Gielgud, ‘Secret Agent’. John has a prolific career on stage and worked all over the world. In the 60s he was caught cruising and the Oscar winner assumed this would destroy his career and yet he carried on. For the rest of his life he would privately donate to gay causes.
Charles Laughton, ‘Jamiaca Inn’. The Oscar winners sexuality adversely affected his personal life. Tormented throughout his career by suppressed homosexuality and self-loathing, Laughton died in Hollywood in 1962, still deeply ashamed of his homosexual longings. Soz 🥴
Arthur Laurent, ‘Rope’ writer. Prolific career - he wrote the Tony winning ‘West Side Story’, ‘Gypsy’ and ‘La Cage aux Folles’. This talented Mo was a lover of Farley Granger and eventually married his partner Tom Hatcher and they stayed together until passing peacefully.
Raymond Burr, ‘Rear Window’. Famous for his portrayal of the detective in ‘Ironside’ a closeted and confirmed fågula. Raymond was a brilliant actor and in a different time it would be incredible to see what he could achieve if he was able to live as his true self.
