6 things to consider before becoming a plant parent:
🌿💧🌞🧚🏾
1. Lighting:

Every plant has it’s own Sunlight requirements. Most houseplants prefer indirect Sunlight (medium-high).

If you do not have ideal light in your space, try low light plants or grow lights.
2. Harness Zone:

Hardness zones determine which plants are most likely to survive in your area.

Works for both indoor & outdoor gardens.

3. Time:

Plants need lots of time, love & dedication. Get to know your plants one by one. Don’t have more plants than you have time to give them.

If you vacation a lot, stick to succulents & plants that can go weeks without watering. Keep room temp between 69-75 while gone.
4. Space:

You want to encourage growth first & foremost.

Depending on the size & potential of your plants, you’re need at least a wall space or two for a nice sized plant jungle of your own. Don’t have plants in windowless rooms, corners, or tucked behind furniture.
5. Humidity:

Keep plants away from radiators & AC vents. Too much AC can make your soil take longer to dry out thus promoting root rot.

To increase humidity, mist your plants daily/every other day or purchase humidifiers.
6. Pets:

Some plants are toxic to animals so makes sure to do your research.
