Nurses in my hospital are being floated to our COVID floor. You just come in to work one day and see you’re assigned to float and boom, there ya go. Off to take care of extremely critically ill & contagious pts that you didn’t sign up to care for
Today, everyone on my floor was told that we are now working 4 shifts a week & PTO/RTO is blocked. Imagine the toll that’s going to take on your “hero’s” mental and physical health :,)
