We need to get the Father's attention...

It used to be businesses were competing for marketshare. Now companies such as Google, Facebook and Apple compete for "attention share" - hoping to turn and occupy the attentions and focus and the affections of consumers...
...even if only a short time.

Unfortunately this business mindset has carried over into churches, viewing people as consumers and offering them the "best, newest and latest" brand names in American churchianity and an a'la cart Jesus at Six Flags over Self, where...
the Death, Burial and Resurrection of a Suffering and Victorious Savior is anathema.

Churches compete with churches, instead of turning the attentions, focus and affections of lost souls from the world system to their sin and need for Jesus Christ.
All the while, lost amid the maddening religious machinery is how much the "churches" need to get the attention of Jesus Christ.

The 120 in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost sought the Father's attention, focus and affections for ten days...
...for the pouring out of the Promise of His Power. The men and women in that room passed out no flyers, placed no ads in the newspaper, paid for no radio time, had no presence on television and no viral media blitz on the internet.
They needed none of this, for when the Father poured out His Spirit, it wasn't long before all of Jerusalem heard.
