We'll still hit 10 billion this mid-century. But at the dawn of the 21st, folks will be feeling population decline in a huge way. Our kids/grandkids won't have enough taxpayers to keep gov't programs like CPP and universal health care afloat, let alone repair our roads. Also...

We'll have to increase immigration from developing nations that are still having babies, such as Nigeria. So, we need to stop denying systemic racism and heal it or the West will fall. I think most of us are trying to do that, but there's still so much denialism. Let's do better.

I wonder sometimes if the US's push to erase women's reproductive rights is about forcing women back to being baby machines to keep with MAGA philosophies. And that scares me. I wonder if there's a race angle, too. I have no proof, but TPTB have made their racist agenda clear. :(

PS. I know this thread is controversial. I've written it with sensitivity. I just want us all to come together and help each other regardless of our differences. I want us to tackle climate change. And we need to discuss basic income. We need to prepare for what's coming.
