Thread: My new favorite book showcasing 1990& #39;s digital graphic design; & #39;New Media Showcase 8& #39; (1998)
The customized artist showcase pages are amazing; with super detailed collages, weird & #39;veggie tales& #39;-esque characters, and & #39;cyber-insects& #39;
Then there& #39;s & #39;Animalu Productions& #39;, with these stone creature arms holding screens of their work
Surreal corporate-focused stock imagery by Dan Couto. I wonder where these were actually used, but I& #39;m guessing as editorial imagery for various business mags?
A wacky cyber-genx/corporate cyborg, proto-vaporwave album cover, and some whimsical Frasurbane collages by Elle Studio
Love these works by David Julian, especially the Utopian-Scholastic/Wacky Pomo hybrid showcasing the 90& #39;s & #39;excitement of logging onto the world wide web or getting a new edutainment CD-ROM feeling& #39;
Well-known for their work on the & #39;Futuro-City& #39; line of Trapper Keeper folders, Paul Wiley has a spread in this book! (especially love the logo)
These ones of Ernie dreaming and Mr. Potato-Head are a little odd though.
Vibrant, colorful, dense digital collage-style images by Peter Gudynas
& #39;Space Station IBM& #39; ad for various support services by William Adams -- Kinda surprised at this one, usually the ads I see from IBM in the 90s were more restrained/traditional
An exuberant advertisement for Intel by Steven Belchér, with the acid-toned colors of Cyber/Gen-X Corporate
Photo-collages by Dan Couto; a hybrid of CGXC tones, Gen-X vibes, and a bit of Y2K futurism.
Medical imagery by Doug Struthers
Finally, some surreal photo-collages by artist David Rickerd
I& #39;ve uploaded all my scans and screenshots here, there& #39;s much more I haven& #39;t covered in this thread! https://tinyurl.com/y8reddmf ">https://tinyurl.com/y8reddmf&...
