A thread of the embarrassing things that happened to me during my internship:

- on my second or third day an intercom was ringing on a table that was unmanned. The other lawyers in the office (one was literally facing the table) didn’t so shit so I didn’t do shit. It wasn’t in-

-my job description and it wasn’t my intercom soooo. Then one of the lawyers literally snapped at me and went “are you deaf” so I got up to answer it.

- part 2, I pick up the phone and say “hello good morning” because well no one did a course on office bullshit. The man on the-

-line says in the meanest voice “who is this” and I say oh Atinuke the intern. Then he says “that’s not how to answer the phone, do it again” but he didn’t tell me what to say so I thought maybe I wasn’t polite enough and did it again. The lawyers in the office were just looking-
