Someone brought to my attn that the way i'm framing Narcissists is demonizing a diagnosis and that there are other ways of discussing this type of abuse that doesn't further stigmatize against Cluster B's, disabled folx & folx with mental illnesses. Corrections i'd like to apply: https://twitter.com/Fumi_chun/status/1283449612636876801
Tweet #2:
"Narcissists go thru cycles of..." to, "Narcissistic abuse includes patterns of..."

Tweet #3: "The diff between Covert/Overt narc." to, "The diff between Covert/Overt narc. abuse..."
Tweet #4: "Narcissists don't have the tools to be empathetic..." to, "Narcissistic abuse includes using empathy manipulatively, often demonstrating unwillingness to empathize with another person. Empaths are usually targets of narcissistic abuse."
Tweet #6: "Narcs cannot stop from being one after a certain point..." to, "If one chooses, narcissistic patterns of abuse can be managed to lessen harmful interactions"
Tweet #7: "Covert Narcs: Dangerous because they're less easy to spot. They come off very victim-y" to, "Covert Narcs behaviour: Dangerous because it's less easy to spot. Includes patterns of victimhood and anger sometimes rooted in feelings of not being treated fairly--
-- Oftentimes, this behaviour can be read as depression."
Tweet #8: "Signs you're around one: " to, "Signs you've experienced narcissistic abuse:"
Tweet #9: "Enmeshment/Codependency are side effects of being w/ a narcissist." to, "Enmeshment/Codependency are side effects of experiencing narcissistic abuse"
Tweet #16: "*NOTE*: It's not always safe to leave a Narc." to, "*NOTE*: It's not always safe to leave a narcissistic abusive relationship"
I'm sorry to those who were affected by my abelist language. I'm trying to learn and do better to not harm folx with disabilities and mental illnesses. I have a LOT of hurt resulting from narc. abuse and it was difficult for me to frame this tweet around behaviour vs. the person.
Will continue to try and do better moving forward. If you have any other feedback for me in regards to this message, feel free to let me know. Thanks :)
