How do we know Trump supporters act in bad faith?

For years they've demanded "proof" Trump is a criminal. So an attorney authored a 2,500-page trilogy documenting—with 12,000 major-media citations—all the proof. He called it the "Proof" series.

They wouldn't read it—not a page.

PS/ This was the first Trumpist reply to this tweet. So we can see why there's no point talking to them on this issue.
